Staffing agency payroll is paying the workers you place — W-2 employees, 1099 contractors, and locums, sometimes the same person in two categories in one year — across client sites that each pay differently. Whether you call it anesthesia payroll, CRNA payroll, or locum tenens payroll, the shape is the same: timesheets come out of a scheduling system, and someone reconciles them against your pay rules before the payroll system will accept the file. AI does that reconciliation; people resolve the exceptions.

The software gives you a calculator: gross-to-net, taxes, deposits. It does not know that one facility pays a call rate and another doesn’t, or that this clinician converted from locum to 1099 in March.
